Client asked me to copy a photo, then argued about wood grain direction

Last Tuesday a guy in Denver brought in a photo of a cabinet and insisted I match the grain exactly, but the wood in his pic was rift sawn and he wanted plain sawn because it was cheaper. He actually told me 'nobody will notice the difference,' so I built a sample and put it next to his photo on the counter, and he still said I was being difficult. Has anyone else had a customer fight you on something they can SEE with their own eyes?
