Found a stat about MDF dust that really surprised me

I was reading through some safety stuff from the Woodworker Safety Network (WSN) online and saw this thing about MDF dust. It said that just one 4x8 sheet of MDF produces like 4.2 pounds of fine dust when you cut it. That number just stuck with me. I've been building cabinets for 8 years now and never really thought about the weight of the dust. I work out of a small shop near Austin and I usually just blow the dust outside with a leaf blower. Now I'm wondering if I should get a dust collection system setup. Anyone else deal with this or have a system that works for a tiny shop?

Honestly, that number is wild to think about.

Reminds me of when @tarabell and I tried to estimate how many people were at that concert last summer and we were off by like a thousand. Numbers that big just mess with your head honestly. I still catch myself mixing up millions and billions when I'm tired.

That reminds me @tarabell, my cousin once tried counting stars - gave up after twenty.
