I finally figured out why my drawer slides were binding after 2 hours of frustration

Spent a whole afternoon adjusting the same set of soft-close undermounts on a bathroom vanity. Turns out I had the cabinet box racked by a sixteenth, threw the whole alignment off. Has anyone else fought with Blum slides over a tiny squareness issue?

The sixteenth thing is absolutely a real issue, I've been there too. Had a set of drawers in a nightstand that just wouldnt close right and I was ready to rip the hardware out. Turns out the whole cabinet was twisted like a quarter inch from being screwed into a warped wall. You pull your hair out over something so tiny but it makes all the difference. People who dont build furniture dont get how much that little bit matters.

Heard a pro cabinetmaker mention once that even an eighth of an inch out of square can make those undermounts act up. It's wild how much that little bit matters.

emerym36 that eighth of an inch thing is EXACTLY how it goes with so much stuff around the house. It's like when a door just slightly rubs on the frame or a drawer gets sticky, you always think it's some big complicated problem but it's usually just a tiny thing off by a hair. These little details really do stack up and make a HUGE difference in how everything works in the end.
