I finally realized my glue squeeze out issue was user error after 3 years
Been building cabinets for about 5 years now and always had trouble with glue squeeze out messing up my finish. I'd spend forever sanding it off or trying to wipe it before it dried. Last week I was working on a full kitchen in Portland and my helper mentioned I was putting way too much glue on. I thought he was crazy because I'd always done it that way. But I tried his method of a thin bead about half what I normally use and suddenly no squeeze out at all. The joints held just as tight too. Makes me wonder what other bad habits I've been holding onto for no reason. Has anyone else had a moment like that where a simple fix made you feel pretty silly?

Wait. You're telling me a thin bead actually changed your whole glue game? That's wild. I always lay a fat bead down, figure more is better. Never even considered going thin on purpose. Guess I've been wasting glue for years then.
