Just realized I've been clamping my face frames backwards for 5 years

Was at a buddy's shop in Denver watching him assemble a face frame and he had the clamps sitting on top of the joints instead of underneath. Turns out I was putting pressure on the wrong side this whole time, causing gaps every time. Anyone else find out they were doing some basic step completely ass-backwards?

That's tough man. What helped me was just taking a step back and actually watching someone who knew what they were doing for a few minutes. @spencer782 maybe you could try that too, seeing it from a different angle clicked for me.

Tell @violar35 I feel his pain too. After 5 years, what else have you caught yourself doing wrong that seems obvious now?
