Just realized the old guy at the lumber yard in Dayton was right about offcuts
I was picking up 12 board feet of maple last Tuesday and the guy at the counter said he keeps every scrap over 8 inches because "you never know what door needs a corner block." I kind of laughed it off at the time, but then I spent Friday digging through my burn bin looking for a piece to patch a toe kick. Tbh he probably saved more money than me just from his scrap pile. Now I'm curious how the rest of you sort your cutoffs, do you keep them by size or by species?
