Shoutout to the guy who showed me how to use a story stick

Honestly, for like 5 years I was just measuring each cabinet opening separately and writing down numbers on scrap wood. Then last month an old timer named Dave at the supply house in Trenton showed me his story stick method with notches. Ngl, it saves me at least 20 minutes per kitchen layout and I haven't screwed up a single measurement since. Anyone else still doing it the old way or did everyone already know this?

Wasted way too many years doing the same dumb thing myself.

Wait, @spencer_park26 you been wasting time on measuring too? I spent a whole summer using a wet shoelace to mark cuts before some framer laughed at me in front of my whole crew.
