That $15 router bit sharpening jig I was skeptical about actually worked
I've been fighting dull bits for months on my maple jobs, especially after that big kitchen remodel in Phoenix where I burned through three Whiteside bits in a week. Picked up a cheap sharpening jig off Amazon just to see if it was all hype, and it put a fresh edge on a scratched up 1/2 inch flush trim bit in about 5 minutes. Has anyone else had good luck with those little diamond plate jigs or am I just lucky so far?

Watch the heat buildup though, diamond plates can cook a thin bit fast.

@miller.rowan I've ran thin bits on diamond plates for hours with no issues.
