The difference in my shop after I finally sealed the concrete floor
For years I just had bare concrete and the dust was unreal, like a fine gray powder on everything no matter how much I swept. Last month I spent a weekend putting down two coats of that epoxy sealant stuff from the hardware store. Now when I sweep, it actually gets clean and the air just feels clearer, not that gritty taste. Anyone else put this off forever and then wonder why you waited so long?

My old garage floor was basically a flour mill for dirt. I'd wipe down a workbench and five minutes later it looked like it hosted a tiny dust storm. The epoxy was a game changer, but I spent a solid decade just breathing in that fine gray mist like a weird hobby. My biggest project before sealing it was building a small shrine to my vacuum cleaner.

Seriously? A whole SHRINE to a vacuum? That dust must have been getting to your head. I've seen some bad floors but that sounds like you were living in a sandbox, not a garage. Maybe you just needed better air flow in there.

Okay, "living in a sandbox" is way too accurate. I'd open the garage door and the sunlight would just highlight every single particle floating around, like my own personal snow globe of filth. I'd come inside with a weird dust tan line on my forearms. That vacuum was the only thing standing between me and becoming a human chalk outline. The shrine felt totally fair at the time.
