Appreciation post: the day I hit 10,000 feet of cable pulled in one shift

Back in 2005 I was running RG6 in a new apartment complex in Phoenix. By 3 PM I hit 10,000 feet pulled and terminated. That number stuck with me because it was the most I ever did in a single day. My hands were tore up and my shoulders ached for two days after. These days with all the fiber and pre-terminated runs I barely break 3,000 feet in a shift. Anyone else remember hitting a crazy high number on a rough job?

...and that's when you really feel the heat, right? @susanb34 were you running all that RG59 solo or did you have a helper spooling out the cable?

Did you factor in the conduit runs or was it all exposed work?

2800 feet in a day was my personal best back in 2002 on a strip mall job in Tucson. We were running RG59 for security cameras and I remember my foreman timing me with a stopwatch. What kind of terminations were you doing on all that RG6? Were you crimping or compression fitting? I always found compression fittings took longer but held up better in the Phoenix heat.
