Changed my mind about those cheap crimpers after a whole day of bad connections in the rain

My buddy at the auto shop swears by Klein Tools for anything electrical. He said the cheap ones can't keep the right pressure on the jaws, so the connection gets loose over time. He showed me a crimp that failed after a few months, and the wire just pulled right out. That's probably what happened to you in the rain.

My last cheap crimper turned a solid connection into a suggestion after about six weeks. I found the wire just hanging out like it was waiting for a bus. Your buddy is right, you really do get what you pay for with that stuff.

Ever try those ratcheting crimpers? I grabbed a pair after my cheap one messed up a whole wiring job. The ratchet makes sure you get the same squeeze every single time, no guessing. It fixed my problem with connections coming loose after a few weeks. Total game changer for me.
