Had a Monday that was so bad it made me rethink this job
Last week I spent 6 hours in a crawlspace in Houston because someone ran a staple through their own coax, and then the homeowner stood over me questioning every move. I get that bad days happen (they do), but I honestly think most people don't appreciate what goes into a clean install. Has anyone else had a job that made you wonder if the customer even wanted cable??

Yeah and then they act like you're the one making the job hard. Six hours in a crawlspace in Houston in the summer sounds like a special kind of hell, I'd rather be anywhere else. The homeowner standing over you is the worst part, like they're gonna learn something by watching you sweat. Bet they didn't offer you a glass of water either. Some people really think cable just falls out of the sky and we're just here to collect a check or something.

80% of my worst job days ended with a follow up call from the homeowner apologizing and offering to write a thank you note. Maybe it's just me but sometimes people hover because they're nervous, not because they're jerks.
