Had to pick between a new fish tape or a better drill for a tricky attic job

Everyone said to get the drill, but I went with the fish tape. Pulling that line through 60 feet of old insulation was a breeze, but drilling the anchor points took twice as long. Anyone have a favorite brand for a compact, high-torque drill they'd actually trust in a crawl space?

Oh man, I actually gotta push back a little on that M12 Fuel love - it's a great tool but for crawl space work the M18 Surge is way better if you're drilling into studs all day, that impact driver won't bog down on you. The Fuel is solid but the Surge has way more torque for the tight spots.

Your post is a perfect example of why the loudest advice isn't always the best for your specific job. People love to recommend the flashy tool, but the boring one is often the real workhorse. It's like choosing between a showy truck and a reliable beater for hauling junk, the right tool just gets it done. For a tight space, I've had good luck with the Milwaukee M12 Fuel stuff, it's small but doesn't quit when you need power.

Right? My old drill is ugly but it never lets me down.

Switched to M12 last year. Zero regrets.
