I finally gave up on always running new wire for every job
I used to think reusing old coax lines was just asking for callbacks and trouble. After seeing how clean a splice can be with the right tools (and testing it twice), it's changed my workflow for the better. How do you handle old wiring when you're on a tight schedule?

Same, it's a game changer on tight jobs.

That 2-inch gap you gotta work in sounds impossible. I can't believe anyone can fit tools in there, lol. My buddy tried something similar and stripped every bolt. How do you even see what you're doing? Seriously, props to you for making it work.

Seeing what you're doing is tough in such a small gap. I angle a small mirror and use short socket extensions to get to the bolts.

Remember my friend trying to change a cabin air filter in his car? He spent an hour swearing at this tiny space behind the glove box. Could not see a thing and almost broke the plastic clips. Then he grabbed his wife's compact mirror and a little magnetic flashlight. Suddenly he could see the clip positions clear as day and got it done in five minutes. Why do they design these things to be so buried?
