I thought those new self-stripping coax connectors were just a gimmick until I had to do 40 drops in a single day last week.
My boss gave me a box of them to try, and after the third drop I realized they actually saved me about 15 seconds per termination, which added up to a full 10 minutes of saved time by the end of the job. Has anyone else found a tool or part that seemed silly but ended up being a real game changer for speed?

Actually it's more like 20 seconds saved per end.

Yeah those little magnetic wrist bands for screws. Thought it was dumb until I stopped dropping screws inside a rack. Total lifesaver.

Have you tried keeping a small magnetic bowl nearby too? I picked up one of those little parts trays at Harbor Freight for like three bucks. Stick it to the top of the rack or the side of the cart and you’ve got a safe spot to dump all the screws while you work. Saves me from fishing around in the wrist band every time I need one.

Honestly that time adds up fast though. Dropping one screw into a server means taking panels off, maybe moving other gear. It's not just the grab, it's the whole panic search. That band keeps the whole job moving smooth.
