Noticed more homeowners asking for fiber prewire during new builds around here

Last month in Columbus, I had three jobs in a row where the builder wanted fiber drops in every room before drywall went up. Any of you seeing more demand for future-proofing like this over standard coax?

Coax is dying in new builds from what I've seen too, future proofing is smart.

Disagree a little bit, actually. I ran cat6 to every room in my own place a few years back and my laundry room ended up being the perfect spot for a wireless access point. Cover the whole backyard for streaming music when I'm out there grilling. The half bath? Sure, probably never plug anything in there, but it cost me like 15 bucks in cable and an hour to pull it through the attic. Cheap insurance if someone down the road wants to put a smart mirror or something in there that needs a solid connection.

Wait, every single room though? That seems like overkill even for future-proofing. I mean, who's really gonna hook up a hardline to their laundry room or half bath?
