Serious question, how do you all handle attic runs when it's 104 degrees outside?
Had a rough one on Friday in Sacramento. I was running coax through a two story house and the attic felt like an oven, probably close to 130 up there by noon. I got about halfway through the pull when my hands started cramping so bad I had to drop the fish tape and climb back down. Ended up sitting in my truck with the AC blasting for almost 40 minutes before I could even think straight. The customer was nice about it but I felt like a fool losing half the afternoon to heat. Back when I started doing this work in the 90s we didn't have cooling towels or anything like that, we just drank water and pushed through, which looking back was probably pretty dumb. Now I keep two jugs of water and a spare shirt in the van, but it still gets me. How do you folks in the hotter states schedule your attic work, do you hit it early morning or just refuse the job until fall?
