That crawl space in the old house on Elm Street took me four hours

Everyone says to just push the line through and it'll find a path. Not in that place. The insulation was packed tight around every joist. I had to pull it all back by hand, about 40 feet total. What's your worst crawl space story?

Heard about a buddy who went under a rental to fix a leak. Shined his light right onto a full grown raccoon just staring back at him. Thing didn't even run, just hissed. He noped out and had to call animal control. They found a whole nest of babies in there too. He said waiting for them to clear it out was almost worse than the crawl itself.

Found a dead possum under my house last summer, the smell was there for weeks.

Oh man, Betty's raccoon story is nightmare fuel. Four hours of insulation wrestling sounds like pure misery though. I think finding a dead animal would be my absolute limit for that job.
