That old lady in Oak Park who waited for me to finish

I was doing a install in Oak Park last summer, this older woman maybe 80 something. She stood there the whole time I was running cable through her attic, didn't say a word until I was done. Then she handed me a glass of sweet tea and said "you're the first person who didn't try to rush through my house in 20 years." Still think about that sometimes when I'm tempted to cut corners on a tough job. Any of you guys have a customer moment that stuck with you?

Man... I'm gonna be the one who says it but that sweet tea might've just been a guilt trip so you'd leave her alone. My grandma used to pull that move all the time, stand there quietly so you feel bad and work slower. Then she'd complain you took too long.

Haha tbh that grandma guilt trip strategy is next level. I already have enough anxiety about taking too long, I don't need a sweet tea bomb dropped on me at the end.
