Visited a new construction site in Phoenix and found a mess with the coax runs
I stopped by a big apartment build in Phoenix last week to check on the rough-in work, and I noticed they had the coax cables stapled right next to some high-voltage lines in the studs. The guy on site said they were just trying to save time, but it looked like a future signal nightmare to me. Have any of you run into builders who ignore proper separation rules, and how do you handle it?

Bet you the builders are thinking short term but that coax placement is gonna cause ghosting on the digital channels once the tenants move in and start complaining. I actually saw a study once that showed improper coax separation can mess with DOCSIS signals bad enough to drop speeds by half on some modems. The builders probably figure they can hide the mess behind drywall and call it good enough. But Phoenix summers cook those wires even worse and heat makes interference problems act up. If I were you I'd get photos of those runs and send them straight to the property owner before the drywall goes up. They'll thank you later when they don't have to rip out walls to fix the noise floor.

You can say that again. I saw a job last year where they stapled coax right next to a 220v line and the customer's internet would just die every time the AC kicked on.
