Warning: My old method for fishing cable through a finished wall was a mess

I used to just shove a glow rod and hope, but after a bad snag in a 1920s house, I bought a flexible inspection camera for $150. Anyone have a cheaper tool they like for this?

My grandpa just used a bent coat hanger for fifty years.

Sometimes the simplest fix is the best one. My old truck's window regulator broke and a zip tie got it working for another two years. Fancy isn't always the answer.

Wow, I always bought fancy tools but that honestly makes sense.

My buddy had this old pickup with a door handle that wouldn't work right. I grabbed a wire hanger, bent it into a little hook, and it held that door shut for four years. Thing looked ROUGH but it worked every single time until he sold the truck. Sometimes you just gotta make do with what's laying around.
