Guy in Reno handed me a Konica C35 with shutter lag, fixed it in 20 minutes or tell him to trash it?
A customer dropped off a Konica C35 at my bench in Reno 3 years ago with a shutter that would hang open for maybe half a second. I cleaned the blades with a dab of naphtha and it snapped back fine within 20 minutes. Half the folks I know would say that's a waste of bench time on a camera worth about $40. The other half say you never turn down a job if the fix is quick and clean. Where do you draw the line on cheap cameras that walk in the door?
