Switched from canned air to a small vacuum for sensor cleaning
I used to blow dust off sensors with canned air for years, but I kept getting residue spots. About 6 months ago I tried a little hand vacuum with a brush tip that cost me $30 on Amazon. It lifts the dust right off without the moisture problem. Has anyone else found a better tool for this?

Switched to a rechargeable electric duster myself and it solved the residue problem, just like you mentioned @jason_lewis3.

Oh man, that's such a good call. I think this fits into a bigger pattern I've noticed where we just default to the "fast and easy" fix for years even though it causes more problems down the line. Like how everyone used to use those cheap canned air duster things on everything until we all realized they just spray propellant everywhere. I did the exact same thing with cleaning my computer keyboard. I'd blow it out with canned air for like 5 years and then one day I tried a little electric duster that actually sucks the crumbs up instead of blowing them deeper into the keys. Total game changer. It's one of those things where you feel kinda dumb for not switching sooner because the vacuum method just makes more sense when you stop and think about it.
