That $40 lens spanner I bought off eBay snapped on the second use today
Guess I'm ordering the $80 version from the proper tool shop tomorrow, anyone else had those cheap tools let you down right when you're in the middle of a tricky shutter curtain job?

...I mean yeah it sucks your spanner broke but is an $80 one really gonna change your life that much? You might just be better off with a set of cheap jewelers screwdrivers and some patience, those things are tough enough to turn a stubborn lens ring if you go slow. Unless you're doing this every day like a pro, I wouldn't drop that kind of money on a specialty tool just because one broke. And honestly, if you're in the middle of a shutter curtain job maybe the real issue is you're rushing it, not the tool.
