That reflow advice from the old forum thread wrecked my shutter board

Someone on a 2018 repair thread swore that baking a flex cable at 200F for 10 minutes would fix intermittent shutter errors. Tried it on a Canon AE-1 Program last Tuesday and the ribbon delaminated on reassembly, now the meter stays dead. Anyone got a reliable way to source a replacement flex that doesn't cost half the camera's value?
