I finally checked my tent's seam tape and found out why I was getting wet for 2 summers
Two summers back I camped near Asheville and woke up in a puddle after a light rain, and I blamed my $180 tent. I kept spraying the fly with waterproofing and it did nothing. Then my buddy flipped the tent over at camp and pointed at the seams, the tape was peeling off in about six spots. I got a $12 tube of seam sealer and spent 20 minutes on it. Slept through a real storm in Pisgah a month later and stayed totally dry. How often do you all redo your seam tape, or do you just replace the tent when it starts leaking?
