Rental RV guy at Yellowstone told me my propane setup was asking for trouble
He said he'd pulled five people out of the same ditch last month and three of them had melted hoses from bad connections. Made me double-check all my fittings before I even unhitched. Any of you ever had a close call with your propane gear?

Brass fittings and fresh Teflon tape every time I hook up.

That reminds me of the time I was helping my buddy hook up his outdoor spigot and he swore he'd done it right but the thing was spraying like a fountain. He used that old crusty tape from his toolbox from like three years ago. I told him man just spend the dollar fifty and get a fresh roll. It's not worth the headache of going back to the hardware store twice in one afternoon.
