Serious question, has anyone else noticed the Coleman Classic stove is just a beast in the rain?
I was at a soggy campsite in the Hoh Rainforest last weekend and my buddy's cheap burner sputtered out, but my old green Coleman just kept boiling water like it was a sunny day.

Yeah, those things are unstoppable. Had mine going in a downpour last month and it didn't even blink.

Read an article once that said the old Coleman stoves were basically overbuilt on purpose, like they expected people to use them in a hurricane. Totally believe it after seeing mine steam through a sideways rainstorm. Charles_mitchell isn't kidding about them not blinking in a downpour. That design is just simple and tough, no fancy electronics to get wet. They don't make stuff like that much anymore.

Used to think it was just hype but mine sold me during a downpour too, those things are built different.
