Took me 3 trips to figure out my sleeping pad valve leak

Bought a new inflatable pad last summer and every morning I woke up on hard ground. First trip I figured I just didn't pump it enough. Second trip I checked the valve, tightened it, still flat by 4 AM. Third trip I finally submerged the whole thing in a creek and saw the leak was along the seam, right where the baffle meets the edge. Contacted the company, they sent a replacement after I sent them the video, but the whole process took 5 weeks from start to finish. Has anyone else had a slow seam leak that only shows up when you get it wet?

Kinda dramatic to dunk a whole pad in a creek over a little air loss.

Did you try turning it off and on again before dunking it in a creek? That's what I do with all my gear problems and it works 0% of the time. Five weeks is basically a whole camping season lost, but at least you got a free video of your bed deflating in nature.
