Warning: swapped my $80 REI Trailbreak 20 for a $25 Ozark Trail 20 and the zipper blew out on night 2 at Mount Rogers

I figured the cheap bag would be fine for a weekend trip since the specs looked close. Night one was okay, but night two at Mount Rogers the main zipper split and would not stay closed, so I spent the night fighting it while the temp dropped to 38. The REI bag has a heavier zipper and a draft tube, and it has made it through 14 trips without a problem. Anyone else had a cheap bag fail on a cold night, and what did you swap to?
