Hit 40k in my RRSP last week and it felt weirdly small
I've been putting $300 a month into my RRSP for about 6 years, plus a lump sum from a side gig last spring. When the balance finally crossed $40k on the app, I expected some kind of rush but instead I just thought about how far behind that actually puts me for retirement. Anyone else hit a number milestone and feel more pressure than excitement?

Yeah I totally get that feeling. I hit $25k last year and instead of being happy I just did the math on how many years of groceries that actually covers and felt sick. It's like the number on the app just makes the gap between where you are and where you're supposed to be feel bigger, not smaller. And then you wonder if you should've started earlier or put in more and it just spirals. But honestly, showing up every month for six years is more than most people do. That's real progress even if it doesn't feel like it in the moment.
