A small brand I trusted just ghosted me after a bad order
Honestly, I ordered a custom leather wallet from this indie shop on Etsy called Oak & Thread back in February. It showed up with the stitching coming undone and the leather looked scratched, not the smooth finish they showed. I emailed them three times over two weeks with photos and got zero replies, not even an automated message. Finally I filed a dispute with PayPal and they still didn't respond, so I got my money back but it took over a month. Has anyone else had a small business just disappear like that after you reported a problem?

You mentioned they never even replied... did you ever check if their shop was still active after that?

Hmm, I actually see it a little differently. Even if the shop was dead, a casual seller should still reply to someone already committed to buying, just a quick "hey sorry I'm not active right now." But I guess it's also possible they just ghosted because they didn't want to deal with the hassle, which happens more often than people admit.
