Compared two meal prep approaches and one was clearly a disaster waiting to happen

I used to just portion out my proteins and veggies separately for the week, grabbed stuff from the fridge as needed. Then I tried those pre-made mason jar salads everyone was raving about on TikTok, you know the ones with dressing at the bottom? By day 3 in Baltimore the lettuce was basically soup, wasted like $40 worth of groceries. Has anyone else found a decent method that actually keeps greens crisp for a full work week?

Yeah that mason jar salad trend is such a trap, I tried it too and by Wednesday the spinach was all slimy and gross. Did you try the paper towel trick where you layer them between the greens and the container? I've been doing that with my meal prep containers and it buys me an extra day or two, but I'm still not getting a full 5 days out of my lettuce. What kind of greens were you using? Ive heard kale holds up way better than romaine or spring mix.

Same thing happened to me Joel, I even tried the paper towel trick and it only bought me maybe one extra day.

Honestly feels like everything short-lived these days even our lettuce.
