Got roasted for my takes on the old forum, now I double check everything
Back in 2021 I used to post hot takes about canceled influencers without doing any research, and this one user called me out for spreading false info about a YouTuber with 2 million subs. They said I was just repeating headlines from 2019 and had no clue about the actual apology timeline. Since then I make myself read at least 3 sources before I even type a comment, and honestly it killed my fun but made my posts way better. Anyone else change how they argue after getting owned publicly?

Getting publicly dunked on is the internet equivalent of a mandatory fact-checking course, just with more embarrassing screenshots. Now I spend more time reading old apology videos than I do watching new ones, which is probably why my feed feels like a research paper. At least the roasts stopped, so I guess that's a fair trade for losing all my spontaneity.
