Switched from store-bought cleaners to vinegar and baking soda for everything last month

I used to spend like $15 a week on name brand sprays and wipes but my bathroom mirror had this weird haze. After 3 weeks of just using vinegar and baking soda the haze is gone and my sink drains faster too. Anyone else ditch the chemical stuff and notice a real difference?

Ha! Yeah I had the same wake up call when I realized my "streak free" glass spray was basically just fancy water and regret. The tub scrub thing got me too - first time I used baking soda I was like "great, I'm scrubbing with sand" but now I swear it works better than the stuff that promised to dissolve grime while I napped. What really got me though was watching my friend spend $8 on a tiny bottle of "natural drain cleaner" when vinegar is literally $1.29 a gallon. Like congrats you paid 6x more for the same thing but now it smells like a sad essential oil instead of a salad.

Started mixing 50/50 vinegar and water in a spray bottle for my windows and they streak way less than the blue stuff from the store. Honestly gave up on commercial glass cleaners after I realized they just leave a film no matter what you do. Ngl the baking soda scrub for the tub took a little elbow grease at first but now it rinses clean without that weird slippery soap scum feeling. Tbh I also pour a cup of vinegar down my kitchen drain once a month and it keeps it from getting smelly way better than those chemical drain foams.

Respectfully @cora518, I actually switched back to the blue store stuff after my vinegar mix started leaving streaks on my windows in direct sunlight. It works fine on cloudy days but the second that sun hits it, all I see is smears. The baking soda tub scrub is solid I'll give you that, but I found the smell of vinegar in the kitchen drain too strong for my nose even after rinsing with hot water.
