That farmer's market in Denver where the honey guy called me out for buying from big brands

I was at the Denver Union Station farmer's market about 3 months ago and this older beekeeper just asked me straight up what honey I buy at home. I said whatever's on sale at King Soopers. He laughed and handed me a sample from his hives. Told me most store honey is cut with corn syrup or filtered so hard it loses everything good. I didn't even know that was a thing. Now I only buy local honey and I'm kinda mad at myself for not asking sooner. Anyone else get caught off guard by something like this?

Wait, did you actually buy one just to smooth things over, or did you skip it and hope he wouldn't notice?
