The 40 minute wait for a table at that Dallas BBQ spot made me pick the food truck instead
I drove 40 minutes to try that viral brisket place everyone hyped, saw the line wrapped around the block, turned around and got a $9 taco from a truck in the parking lot, it was better and I never looked back, anyone else bail on a hype spot for the random option nearby?

You ever consider the wait might be part of the experience?

Think about how everything these days is about instant gratification. You order something online and get mad if it takes more than two days. You swipe through videos all day because thirty seconds feels too long to commit. But the stuff that actually matters, like good food, good relationships, even a good vacation, always has some waiting involved. That wait builds up the excitement and makes the payoff hit different. If everything was instant, nothing would feel special anymore. So yeah, I get what they're saying, the wait is part of the whole deal.
