TIL the whole cast of That 70s Show never got a heads up the show was ending
Found this on a behind the scenes thread last night, apparently the finale filmed before anyone told the actors, and now I keep wondering if a show getting quietly canceled without a goodbye is worse than a loud public backlash.
So wait, did the actors literally find out when they showed up to film what they thought was just another episode? That part is what gets me. Because there's a big difference between knowing it's the last one and just being handed a script that happens to wrap everything up. How do you even act a real goodbye scene if you don't know it's a goodbye scene? Seems like it would mess with your head for years after.
