Used to think Fyre Festival was just dumb rich kids crying

But after reading that deep dive on the local Bahamian workers getting screwed out of pay, I flipped completely. Anyone else change their mind on a cancellation after learning about the actual victims beyond the influencers?

Turned my whole opinion around too. I once complained about a cancelled flight and felt dumb after hearing the ground crew was working triple shifts to deal with the chaos.

Right? Nothing like being mad about something and then finding out you'd be madder if you had THEIR job (or triple the work). Makes you want to crawl under the seat and hide for a bit.

Drove myself crazy last week complaining about slow checkout at the grocery store, then found out the cashier was covering for two people who called in sick. Felt about two inches tall after that. Kind of makes me wonder how many times I've been the jerk in someone else's story without even realizing it. At this point I'm pretty sure my default setting is "unintentional villain" and I just haven't been notified yet.
