Wasted $200 on a meal kit subscription that flopped hard

I signed up for Green Apron back in March after seeing their ads everywhere. First week was okay but by week three every meal had wilted herbs and half the portions were missing. I lost $200 over 4 weeks before I finally cancelled. Has anyone else had a subscription service just fall apart like that?

Wait did you notice if the portions started getting smaller around the same time the herbs went bad? My friend Sarah signed up for Green Apron last fall and she said it was almost like they had two different versions of the box - the first two weeks were perfect with fresh veggies and big portions, then suddenly everything got tiny and the cilantro was literally brown slime by day three. She called customer service and they gave her a $15 credit but by that point she was already looking up other meal kits, though honestly she said switching to a different company was just as bad in its own way. I guess these subscription services all start strong to get you hooked and then they just stop caring once they have your money, which is exactly what happened to her - she cancelled after eight weeks and said she felt dumb for not bailing sooner.
