Changed my mind on underlay waste after a simple customer question
I used to toss all old underlay without a second thought. A client asking about recycling options got me looking into it, and now I separate it for reuse. Anyone have a smooth way to deal with this?

Man, that hits home. Sometimes the simplest questions make you feel kinda dumb for not seeing it sooner. Using scrap in muddy yards is actually brilliant, saves so much hassle. Makes you look at every piece of trash differently. Really cool to see stuff get a second life instead of just dumping it.

Yeah that customer question can change EVERYTHING, right? I started keeping the decent scrap pieces in my truck. Lay them down in muddy yards so I don't ruin my boots, or use them as a quick table for sorting packages. It's WILD what gets a second life once you start looking.

Honestly, that "second life" thing is so true. I once used a scrap piece to patch a hole in my shed floor for like three years.
