Had to choose between a power stretcher and a knee kicker for a tricky hallway last week

I went with the power stretcher for a 30-foot hallway in an old house outside Denver and it saved me from re-stretching twice like I always do with the knee kicker, has anyone else run into issues with door jamb caps on uneven floors?

Haha I gotta push back on @cora518 a bit here. For a 30-foot hallway especially with uneven floors, the knee kicker just lets too many little gaps hide under the jamb caps. I tried doing a hallway like that once with a knee kicker and ended up with a bubble near a door that I had to cut out and patch. The power stretcher gives you that steady pull across the whole length so the material sits tight against the floor. It's way easier to get the tension right from the start instead of chasing spots that pop up later.

Oh man, I gotta disagree with @vera_robinson36 a bit on this one. I mean, for a tricky hallway with uneven floors, I'd actually reach for the knee kicker every time cause you can really control the tension by feel and catch those high spots better. Power stretcher is great for open rooms but idk, in tight spots with weird floors, I feel like you lose some of that touch.

Oh man, door jamb caps on uneven floors are the worst! I feel your pain on that one, power stretcher is definitely the way to go for those long tricky spots.
