Hit 1,000 carpet seams installed without a single callback
Been doing this for about 4 years now and I just realized this morning that I have done over 1,000 seams since I started keeping track. For me that mattered because I used to get at least 2 or 3 callbacks a year for seams splitting, but I changed how I prep the seams with extra glue. Has anyone else noticed a big drop in callbacks after a certain point?

@evan_green52 Yeah man, that roller trick is huge. I started doing the same, really pressing it into the tape, and it made a bigger difference than I expected. It's crazy how something so simple cuts the callbacks way down.

Wait, are you saying you actually track every single seam you do? That's pretty impressive man. I started doing the same thing about 6 years ago after getting burned by too many callbacks. For me the game changer was switching to a specific brand of seam sealer and really mashing it into the tape with a roller. I swear my callback rate went from like 4 or 5 a year to maybe one every two years. The extra glue trick you mentioned is solid, I do that too, especially on busy commercial jobs where people walk all over it. It's wild how just a few extra seconds of prep saves hours of headache later.
