My air stretcher slipped off a tack strip in a condo in Phoenix and punched a hole in the wall behind me

I was pulling a 12 foot seam tight on some plush in a second floor unit when the plate kicked sideways, my knee went through the drywall, and the homeowner watched from the hallway asking if I needed her to call maintenance, has anyone else had a stretcher pop like that on a floating floor?

Phoenix humidity does weird things to tack strips, that's probably why it shifted under tension. Floating floors feel solid until something pops, then it's a whole different game lol.
