Old school seam roller trick still works better than my power stretcher ever did
Was fighting a tricky hallway seam near a closet door last week and remembered my grandpa's method of using a weighted roller twice in opposite directions... tried it out of desperation and it laid flat perfectly on the first pass. Anyone else fall back on old tools when the new stuff gives you grief?

The weighted roller trick is honestly a lifesaver in tight spots. I've had the same thing happen near doorways where the power stretcher just can't get that final bit of tension right. A couple firm passes with a good wooden roller in opposite directions usually does the trick for me too. Sometimes the old tools just understand the weird corners better, ya know? For really stubborn edges, I'll even use a small hand roller and then a wallpaper seam tool to really press it down.

That little wallpaper seam tool trick is genius actually, I've done the same thing more times than I can count. Those last few inches by the baseboard always seem to fight back no matter what you do.
