Question about dealing with old glue on concrete slabs

I was doing a tear-out job in a basement near Cincinnati last Tuesday. We pulled up the old carpet and pad fine, but the glue from the previous tile is still stuck to the concrete in a lot of spots. I tried scraping it with a 4-inch blade, but it took me an hour to cover maybe 10 square feet. Anyone got a faster method for getting that residue off without renting a big floor grinder?

Man it's wild how often the simple trick of adding heat solves things in ways we don't expect. Same thing with gunk on cooking pans or even old decals on cars - just a little warmth and everything gets way easier to work with. It's like half of life's stubborn problems just need a bit of patience and the right temperature to let go.

Glue scrapers work way better if u heat the glue first with a heat gun.

Oh yeah totally, @piper_kim is spot on - heat gun made that old glue peel right off for me too.
