Read a study that said carpet installers have a 40% higher injury rate than other construction trades
I was looking up some safety stuff on a government website and that number just jumped out at me. It makes sense with all the kneeling and lifting, but forty percent is a huge difference. What's the most common injury you guys see on the job?

Heard it's mostly knee and back problems.

What about shoulder and wrist issues?

Tell me about it, my shoulder clicks like an old door hinge now. Wrists are just as bad, feels like they're full of gravel after a long day. Guess my body's just falling apart one joint at a time. At this rate, my knees and back will be the next to go on strike. Who needs a full set of working parts anyway?

lee847 got it right with knees and back, but wesley_jones mentioning shoulders and wrists is spot on too. It's part of a bigger pattern in everyday life where we're always bent over our phones or hunching at desks, so those joints take a beating from all angles. Body just piles on the wear and tear from every direction and pretends it's fine until it's not.
