Started using a tack strip with integrated gripper and I'm converted
I always thought those all-in-one tack strips were a gimmick, but a buddy convinced me to try a roll on a 400 square foot office job last week. The time I saved not having to nail down separate strips made me a believer. Has anyone else had good luck with these on concrete subfloors?

Have you tried using them on badly uneven concrete? I had a nightmare with the integrated gripper pulling up on a floor with a few low spots, ended up having to switch back to traditional tack strips and extra adhesive to get a flat install. The time savings are real for sure, but I'll take a few extra minutes nailing down strips over pulling up and redoing a section any day.

I mean, is it really that big of a deal though? Maybe you just had a bad batch of gripper or something.

Oh man I was totally in the same boat! @finley_gonzalez49 I actually thought they were gimmicky too until I tried em on a commercial job with concrete and now I honestly dont wanna go back. The uneven floor thing is a real concern though, I've had to double up on adhesive in a few spots to keep em flat.
