Stretch-in bit me today on a big master closet

I did a full stretch-in job this morning in a 14x12 master closet with a cheap residential carpet, thinking it would be faster than power stretching around all those rods and shelves. The carpet shifted about 3 inches near the door by the time I finished the last wall, and I had to pull it all back up and redo the seams. Core stretches give you so much more control on tight layouts like that, I should've known better. Anyone else run into this on closets with a lot of obstructions, or do you just always power stretch no matter what?

Thats funny cause I had the exact opposite thing happen last tuesday on a 10x12 with two weird angles and a window seat. Power stretch kept popping the seams because the pad was cheap and the carpet wasnt tight enough in the corners. Switched to a stretch in and it took me 20 minutes less than usual. For me its all about how much furniture is in the way, not the size. If its packed tight I go stretch in every time and just do two passes with the knee kicker on the edges.
