Switched to a different seam roller for a job in a humid basement

Had to do a big install in a finished basement last week, and the humidity was awful. Used my old metal roller on the seams and they just wouldn't lay flat, even with extra adhesive. Grabbed a newer, heavier rubber roller from my truck on a hunch. The difference was instant; the seams sealed perfectly and looked invisible after just two passes. What's your go-to tool for tricky, damp installs like that?

What brand of rubber roller made that kind of difference?

Just a basic gray husky one from Home Depot, changed my mind completely.

Man, I was a total metal roller guy for years. Thought the rubber ones were just a gimmick. This damp job proved me wrong, the extra weight and grip just smashes the seam into the adhesive. Mine's just a basic heavy duty one from the big box store, nothing fancy.

Grab the rubber one every time, no question.
